  • I have several buildings that I can't complete because I need gift items. I request them and rarely get a response from my current neighbors. Sometimes I'll even get a different gift than what I requested. I will also send gifts that I am looking for as well, would be great to have neighbors who will reciprocate and send the same thing i gift out. Really, I need 30 ladders to finish 3 buildings right now! Would love to connect with more active and savvy neighbors. I'm at level 43 and have only spent a few bucks on this. I wait out the limited editions and save my axes for non-limited quests. Add your user name below if you're interested. Thanks! Kathleen2007

    • Kathleen2007, this page has a (relatively) updated list of Active Users.  Feel free to send Neighbor Requests to see who is still an Active Neighbor.

Also, if you send me a Request I will add you.  However, please only send me things I request.  I ignore things sent without a Request to save the slot for when I need something.  Meaning if I need 4 Friend Ladders and I get the Requests filled, but someone send me a Friend Bracelet and I accept that, that is one less Friend Ladder I can accept for that day.  I hope that makes sense.

One thing to keep in mind is if you have a bunch of Inactive Neighbors, but you get 4 Gifts from them on a daily basis, you can refill your supply quicker by keeping those Neighbors.  The game has gotten good at filling your supply when you need them when visiting, even Inactive, Neighbors on a daily basis.

Lastly, if you would like to Contribute, please Sign Up and Log In.  Make sure you check the box to keep you logged in.  This will keep track of your Contributions, allow us to see who does what, and allow us to have a conversation with a person rather than just an IP Address.  If you need any help at all, please search the Forums here first, post a new message on the relevant Forum Board, or leave me a Message on my Wall .  Thanks!

    • Thanks! Yes I will go register as I'm new to the forum. One thing I'm confused about (just by reading a bit here) is visiting neighbors, in that I visit each of my neighbors, almost daily, and get 2-4 of the gift boxes, but only will come out with 1 or 2 of the actual gift items after going through all of them. I usually end up with only the small amount of resources they typically provide. And my gift item stocks are not full. Does this mean that you can control what your neighbors get when they visit you? Like I mentioned, I gift out items when I'm looking for them as I see it as another way to do so besides the actual requests. I don't see this as related to what people get when they visit you, but I'm not sure. Great link to the neighbor page! Great info and greatly appreciated.

    • You can't control what Gifts you receive when you visit Neighbors.  The only thing you have control over is if you're full on all the Neighbor Items and visit your Neighbors, then you won't receive any of those Items.  We can't even figure out what causes you to get 4 Gifts from a Neighbor one day, and 1 or none, the next.  It's been a mystery ever since I started playing and coming here!  And, it drives me crazy!

The only reason I mentioned keeping the Inactive Neighbors on your list if you get 4 Gifts from them daily is because that's my strategy in keeping all my Neighbor Items stockpiled.  I have waaaay more than the default number of Neighbors, though.  For me, if I need 10 Friend Ladders, I can go through my entire list and get all 10 in one day.  I would say about 80% of my Neighbors are Inactive, but since I get 4 Gifts from them every time I visit, I keep them on my list.  Everybody has their own way of doing things.

Sending out Items you need is a good way to get what you want, if you don't have a way to Request it.  Meaning, if you don't have a Structure that requires a certain Item and just want to stock up on it while you've got the chance.  I do send people back the same thing they send me.  I just don't accept them unless it's something I Requested.

    • Why did you say you're on Level 43 on here and Level 109 on the Neighbors page?

    • Kathleen2007, please visit {{#NewWindowLink:http://brightwoodadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Neighbors?diff=9477&oldid=9474%7Cthis page}} (it will open in a new tab) and explain the changes it shows your IP Address made.  Particularly, the changes in red. Again, if you'll Sign Up and Log In, it will show your Username rather than your IP Address.  Also would like to know why the difference in Levels between this Thread and what you posted on the Neighbors page in my previous Message.  Thanks!

    • Kathleen2007, why do you say you're on Level 43 on the message at the top of this page, that you created, but on the Active Neighbors section of the Neighbors page you say you're on Level 109?  And, will you please take a look at the link in the above message to tell me why you made the changes in red letters that Wikia's records say you made?  Thank you.

Sorry for all the messages all at once.  I had a lot going on those days.  LoL  I'd still like you to explain what happened with the Edits you made in red on the link above in this message.  Thanks!

    • Wow! I added myself to the list. that's all. when I did so, it didn't show the column titles, so i put the current date, not the date I started. then i saw the column title and put the date that I thought I started playing. goodbye

    • Well, if you didn't purposely make the changes I guess Wikia screwed up somehow.  No worries.  I just wanted to see if you had done it for some reason before changing it back.  Thanks for letting me know!  Just a reminder, try to stay logged in so it will show your Username, rather than your IP Address.  Thanks, again!

    • I changed the 109 Level you mistakenly put in the table back to the 43 you said you were on in BA.

Well, when you have 40+ Neighbors, the Neighbor Items build up fairly quickly.  I always complete the LE's as quickly as possible, then start visiting my Neighbors to replenish my stockpile, if the LE used any Neighbor Items.  The game seems to give you fewer Neighbor Items when visiting Neighbors WHILE an LE is going on.  When there's not one active you get about 2x-3x more Neighbor Items from your Neighbors.  They want you to have to Request the Items you need during the LE, or spend the Gold necessary to complete that Task before time expires on the LE.  Pretty cheap and sneaky on their end, but that's how it works.
